Hubbard stations ace school supply drive for local nonprofit!

September 19, 2022

An A+ promotion in the books!

Did you know that 94% of teachers routinely spend more than $500 out of their own pocket every year to provide tools for their classroom?

To help area teachers get the supplies they need for the upcoming school year, Q102, B-105 and Mix 94.9 collected supplies throughout the month of August via an Amazon Wish List to go to Crayons to Computers in a program called "Shop for Teacher."

In addition to running promos on air, influencers visited Crayons to Computers’ Teacher Resource Center and shared videos and photos from their visits on social media. The afternoon drive-time influencers even turned the supply drive into a competition between B-105 and Q102—and collected more than 500 supplies in just three days from listeners inspired to take action!

Founded in 1997, Crayons to Computers is a local nonprofit working to ensure that teachers in the Cincinnati region can provide their students in need the tools to succeed in school. Since their beginning, Crayons to Computers has distributed more than $184 million worth of free school supplies, enhancement, and incentive items.
