Donna

Donna Valentine has been talking to people through the radio since 1990—and somehow still hasn’t lost her voice. Originally from Northern New Jersey, she’s taken her talents to New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas and finally planted roots in Minnesota, where she’s been a Twin Cities radio staple for nearly three decades.

With 20+ years in country radio (and a CMA award to show for it), Donna is one half of the delightful chaos now known as Donna & Steve—weekdays 6–10am on Mix 94.9. Her on-air chemistry with Steve Patterson is undeniable, mostly because they’re complete opposites.

Donna is all heart and humor with a side of gummy candy. She’s a self-proclaimed homebody who lives with her rescue pup, loves a well-tended yard and has no business owning a cabin in the woods—but does anyway. Outdoorsy? Not quite. But she plays the part when necessary.

A fierce animal lover, Donna has fostered dogs, supported Ruff Start Rescue and always manages to find an animal sanctuary on vacation. She’s also been a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for nearly 30 years.

She’s blissfully single, proudly frugal (when it comes to herself), dreams of fancy espresso machines and has strong opinions about sugary treats—Team Skittles over chocolate any day. She walks every morning, hits the gym four times a week and loves TV so much she basically has a degree in streaming.

Donna is passionate about music (especially alt-country, rock and pop), decorates like a boss, loves the beach but fears the ocean and visits family back east several times a year. Whether she’s talking about bad dates, weird habits or what Steve’s wearing that day—she’s always 100% herself.
